My client are a leading national heavy civil construction general contractor with offices in NYC and Long Island. Due to a number of recent MTA / NYCT project wins, including a $300M + project in NYC, they are seeking a Construction Superintendent with experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
Your new role
Oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects from start to finish
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the construction process including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety
Supervise and manage on-site staff, subcontractors, and vendors
Ensure that all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Ensure that all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and protocols
Provide regular progress reports to the project manager and other stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Understanding of construction industry regulations and standards
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, but not required.
