The Mailroom Specialist will provide office-wide support for multiple departments primarily by processing outbound/incoming mail and outbound/incoming shipping. This person will have the opportunity to provide administrative support throughout the office as needed.


Essential Functions


  • Perform general office duties such as scanning/copying documents and preparing mailings

  • Deliver all mail and UPS to designated pickup location daily

  • Staying up to date with mailroom equipment such as ordering supplies, maintaining printers, software updates, and mail project codes

  • Making sure supplies are being tracked, unpacked, and organized in the mailroom

  • Keep track of visitor logs and badges for delivery vendors

  • Communicate with vendors on deliveries

  • Send end of month postage reports

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Prepare various documents which may include reports, memos, letters, responses to correspondence, surveys, spreadsheets and presentations

  • Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information

  • Additional administrative responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in addition to 2 years of office experience

  • 3 years' experience in office environment

  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office

  • Experience in a mailroom in an office environment preferred

  • Possess strong data entry and typing skills

  • Be well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel specifically)

  • Possess ability to quality review own work

  • Possess problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

  • Must be a team player who works well with a group

  • Strong customer service skills

The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Cost Report/DSH engagement team.


Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
