Overview

  • Provide integrated psychiatric care as part of a patient centered medical home team. This includes care team consultation, collaborative care planning, and psychiatric medication management.
  • Provide lifespan psychiatric assessment and management to a population experiencing a wide variety of acuity, including SPMI, and complex social needs.
  • Consistent use of evidence-based practice including screening and diagnostic tools, clinical interventions, laboratory tests, and monitoring for adverse effects of medications and interactions.
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention in collaboration with integrated care team.
  • As an academic position, this person will be expected to teach within the scope of their discipline and to provide educational experiences to OHSU learners, including Family Medicine residents.
  • Engage in program and professional development to address emerging clinical needs among patient population.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, care team members, and both internal and community partners.
  • The appointee will be expected to document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Family Medicine policies and procedures.
  • The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship as directed by their department.
  • All faculty members take an active role in the committee structure of the School of Medicine, attend faculty meetings, and participate in faculty and professional development programs.
  • Academic and administrative time provided in accordance with department policy.


Responsibilities

  • Active PMHNP licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Advanced degree in Nursing and completion of specialty of PMHNP.
  • Active DEA certification


Qualifications



  • A demonstrated commitment to patient centered, team-based health care.
  • A demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed practice.
  • 2+ years of PMHNP experience in a safety net setting such as FQHC, Rural Health Center, or Community Mental Health.
  • Experience in educational setting with supervision
