Our client is a well known General Contractor founded in 2009, who excels in commercial contracting, including interior alterations, renovations, base buildings and facility additions. They undertake projects across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, education, government, and retail, serving the Washington DC metropolitan area, including Maryland and Virginia. They have completed over 1000 projects and received numerous accolades, including the Washington Contractor Award.
You will join an experienced team of 4, taking the lead in supporting the company's focus on large-scale base build projects.



Your new role


As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for bidding on base build projects typically valued at $10 Million - $15Million, preparing detailed estimates for the projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids. This role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications and other documents, bid preparation, cost analysis, vendor and subcontractor coordination, risk assessment, budget monitoring and working closely with the Project Managers, Engineers, Architects and other stakeholders.



What you'll need to succeed

• 7-10 years of estimating experience in the construction industry
  
  


• A proven track record on bidding base builds projects valued at $10Million+ within the commercial, educational and government sectors.
  
  


• Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  
  


• Strong analytical and numeracy skills to accurately estimate costs and assess project feasibility.
  
  


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

What you'll get in return

• Competitive base salary $140,000 - $150,000.
  
  


• Annual bonus is typically valued between 7.5-10% based on company and individual performance.
  
  


• $500 per month vehicle allowance.
