Your new role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications, aligned with the scope of work, schedule, and budget.
Prepare drawings and specifications that meet best practices, project design goals, and quality standards.
Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and plumbing engineers on electrical system requirements.
Perform construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting field inspections, and preparing detailed reports.
Conduct and attend meetings with owners, contractors, and design team members.
Utilize knowledge of service utility coordination, power distribution, fire alarm, UPS, emergency power systems, lighting, and low voltage infrastructure.
Be familiar with annual energy use projections and analysis.
Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.
Prepare engineering reports and calculations for LEED submissions.
Participate in reviews with various governing agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
A degree in Electrical Engineering
3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the building services industry
Strong skills in electrical design, analysis, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A proactive and problem-solving mindset
LEED, Green Globe, or ASHRAE High Performance Buildings
PE or EIT Desired
