Job Summary
The HR M&A Manager is responsible for maintaining ongoing pipeline documents and regularly reporting status updates to the HR Leadership Team (HRLT). This role involves day-to-day interactions with vendors as needed and partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on pending deals. The Manager provides additional support to the Senior Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Manager, depending on the scale of the projects.Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with Financial M&A Deal Team & HRLT/HRBPs
Maintains ongoing pipeline documents and reports status to HRLT on a regular basis
Partner with HRBPs on pending deals
Provide additional support to Senior M&A manager depending on scale
Vendor Coordination
Day-to-day work with vendors as needed
Due Diligence
Conducts all diligence, summarizes responses/risks, analyzes costs and synergies, integration fit, etc
Assists with preparation of ongoing meetings and readouts
Schedules internal HR workstream calls, prepares agendas, notes and diligence project plan, keeps HR on task
Contract Review (equity, asset, TSA, etc.)
May also review contracts for development and depending on complexity will recommend tactics to Senior Manager or VP
Project Management
Own project plan documents
Schedules internal HR workstream calls, partners with payroll, prepares agendas and notes
Engages cross-functional partners and ensures work is on time
May represent HR on various deep-dive discussions when additional break-out is necessary to plan or inform decision-making
Tools & Resource Development
Work with Senior Manager to develop and improve tools and playbook resources, training materials for HR
Project
Assist with gathering input and building report of cross functional learnings, future needs, improvements.
Presents portions of read outs and owns follow-up activities
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
Certification / Licensure:
None required.
Work Experience:
At least 6 years overall, progressive related experience in large, global companies.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Experience managing multiple projects with highly-matrixed stakeholders and staff.
Experience developing partnerships with senior management and influencing key business decisions.
Experience using HR ERP technology such as Oracle, Workday or SAP/SuccessFactors.
Demonstrated understanding of the laws and regulations that affect human resources generally and employee benefits in particular.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data drawn from multiple sources to find problems and make effective decisions.
Demonstrated skill with building and utilizing project management tools.
Ability to lead others past their comfort zone(s) and creates a sense of urgency and speed.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong ability to plan, create and drive written communications and presentations.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.
Proficiency in MS Office applications; highly proficient with Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment and travel on an infrequent basis.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Certification / Licensure:

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Experience working with outsourced benefit and absence management administration platforms such as Alight, Sedgwick, etc.
