SUMMARY
The Speech Pathologist develops and implements rehabilitative treatment programs for the purpose of restoring or improving the patient's optimal level of function, independence, and quality of life.
Rochester Regional Health offers the largest physical therapy and rehabilitation program in the region. Our team combines compassion and respect with cutting-edge therapy and rehabilitation treatments for patients of all ages - from pediatrics to geriatrics.
STATUS: Per Diem LOCATION: Newark Wayne Community Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Speech Therapy (Acute Care Inpatient)
SCHEDULE: Saturdays and Sundays
ATTRIBUTES
Current New York State Licensed Speech Pathologist
Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med)
One (1) year experience with frail elderly population preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluation & Planning. Perform a complete initial evaluation of referred patient; develop and implement treatment plans, including appropriate short- and long-term goals
Collaboration. Actively participate in rehabilitation team efforts to meet patient needs, including counseling and teaching patient and family, discussing changes in treatment programs with MDs, coordinating healthcare plans with other involved professionals and assisting in discharge planning as appropriate
EDUCATION:
MS: Speech Pathology (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $66,560.00 - $105,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
