Salary: $150,000.00 USD Annually - $175,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client, a very top food manufacturer, is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resources (equivalent to Director in most companies). New headcount position for the company due to growth! Generous bonus and top benefits on top of base. Position based in-office (so must be local to Northern VA or be able to relocate there). Strong generalist background with HR Business Partner experience including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, management of team (both direct and dotted line), working directly with the leadership team and plants. Full responsibilities listed below.


This role will manage and maintain all activities related to the Human Resources Department. The Sr. Manager will be required to develop partnerships with C-Suite and Leadership Team members which includes coaching and counseling on organizational structure, HR/Company projects and initiatives and personnel management.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES -


•Manage all HR (employee-related) functions on a consistent basis including recruiting, employee relations (hiring, onboarding, terminations), employee morale, training, performance management, employee counseling and development, benefits administration, payroll, etc.


•Manage all HR (non-employee-related) functions on a consistent basis including policy management, HR compliance, HR filings, ACA reporting, SPD for Benefits, 5500s, Summary Annual Reports, credible coverage reporting, 401K audit, quarterly audits and SOX auditing, CT-PAT audits, SedEx audits, etc.


•Ensure sound employee relations practices are followed to comply with company policies and applicable law.


•Manage all personnel actions-hiring, counseling, discipline, terminations, - to maintain an effective, qualified workforce.


•Ensure consistency in all personnel practices. Maintain contact with employees to monitor morale and attitude. Responsible for employee retention program development.


•Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations within labor regulation laws, corporate filing requirements, etc.


•Secure a qualified workforce through recruitment and hiring. Maintain proper staffing levels in order to provide the company with personnel to meet goals and to support succession planning efforts.


•Manage benefits renewal process and open enrollment on an annual basis including health and wellness activities planning.


•Develop and administer the annual Affirmative Action Plan/Labor Regulations/ Trainings. Monitor compliance and goal attainment and ensure that all employees are treated fairly and without discrimination with respect to all personnel actions. Serve as the local EEO Coordinator, always working towards a goal of zero labor charges and lawsuits.


•Oversee payroll processing. Administer Corporate Compensation salary/hourly wage and benefit programs, including coordination of accurate and timely performance appraisals and benefit payments.


•Ensure that training and orientation of all employees occur in order to meet legal requirements as well industry/company training.


•Partner with Tax Manager on payroll reporting and hypo-tax calculations for ex-pat program in addition to any special tax initiatives.


•Partner with Plant HR on initiatives, recruitment, training, employee relations, issues, events, etc.


•Manage and facilitate outside leadership team meetings and coordinate and present at quarterly employee meetings.


•Write and administer corporate policies. Partner with Internal Communications on all HR-related communication to employees.


•Partner with internal and external legal teams on issues or initiatives.


•Partner with immigration attorney on all immigration matters (VISAs, Permanent Residencies, etc.)


•Partner with relocation resources to successfully relocate employees within and outside of the US.


•Oversee partnership with travel agency and special approvals as needed.


•Partner with all outside HR resources and build relationships to successfully manage the HR Department as a whole.


•Lead and coordinate monthly employee focus group meetings.


•Lead Engagement Committee to drive and maintain a positive, unified culture.


•Attend and participate in Monthly Business Review Meetings.


•Attend and participate in weekly Leadership Team Meetings


KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES-


•10-15 years of overall professional experience in HR


•BA, BS or the equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration


•Solid experience with all Microsoft office software, including Excel and Word


•Experience using ADP Workforce Now


•Manufacturing HR experience a plus


•Excellent communication skills and ability to speak with all levels of the organization


•Ability to work independently


•Strong process improvement commitment

•Travel required - domestic and international plant travel - 10% annually
