Job Summary: This role is focused on leading the Project Management Department within the Conveyor Business Unit. Responsibilities include assigning projects, mentoring and coaching team members, leading monthly project reviews and developing department procedures. The successful candidate must be customer focused with the ability to clearly communicate, work within and promote a team environment, and maintain and nurture positive relationships with customers, vendors and peers.
Job Specific Tasks:
Oversees the engineering integrity of systems such that the contractual specifications are met with respect to functions, productivity, reliability, quality, and safety features.
Schedules and coordinates Project Managers workload.
Reviews and approves major engineering and installation decisions related to each project.
Reviews methods, procedures, and equipment utilized in accomplishing project requirements and supervises continuing improvements in productivity and quality.
Monitors the engineering and coordination with manufacturing to meet project progress milestones.
Works with Systems Engineering Management to organize the engineering resource staffing requirements for each Systems project.
Oversees the forecasting of project costs and directs planning and control activities to maintain as-sold margins.
Oversees the preparation, maintenance, and adherence to standards and procedures for progressive project management.
Reviews project performance in adherence to the contract and customer requirements.
Works side by side with other department managers to improve processes and procedures.
Participate in technical reviews as requested.
Provides Sales and Application Engineering support as required.
Accepts project assignments as Project Manager.
Works on special projects and assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical systems experience.
System level working knowledge of Mechanical, PLC Controls and Software Engineering.
10-15 years technical systems experience in materials handling industry preferred.
5+ years of Project Management experience
PMP certification preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point programs.
Capable of working with the current version of AutoCAD.
Travel Requirements:
Travel required 10-15% of the time
The base salary range for this role is $115,900 to $173,800. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
