Summary of Role:


As a Design Enablement Engineer, you will be a member of the Design Enablement Team responsible for developing design components for Process Design Kits (PDK) and Automation of them.



Essential Responsibilities include:




  • Develop, maintain and improve GlobalFoundries Process design kits including support of EDA tools from vendors like Cadence, Synopsys and Siemens.






  • Create PDK related documentation.






  • Responsible for usage, update and documentation of PDK relevant software tools.





Other Responsibilities:




  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.





Required Qualifications:




  • Education - Graduating with Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Computer Science or related field from an accredited degree program.






  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.






  • Fluent in English (Written & Verbal)






  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills.






  • Good attitude and interpersonal skills, tactful and works well in a team environment.






  • Self-motivated, resourceful and shows initiative.






  • Well organized and exhibits attention to detail.





Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience in semiconductor and/or EDA industries.






  • Good knowledge of electronic devices and semiconductor theory.






  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.






  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash...) is a plus.






  • Exposure to Cadence IC (Virtuoso Layout, Schematic or Skill programming language) is a plus.






  • Previous experience with Unix/Linux systems is also a plus.






  • Strong written and verbal communication skills






  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range

$64,100.00 - $115,400.00
