The Generator Technician is responsible to repair and install prime and standby power. This individual is a vital part of the life and safety of many people, organizations and communications.
We are seeking a candidate based in Everett or north of Seattle who can commute to our Gig Harbor office once a week, with some additional travel required.

Key Responsibilities
Repair and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets
Inspect, Repair, service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment.
Trouble shoot problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals and service bulletins.
Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems.
Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests.
Identify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, determine Corrective Action through Inspection.
Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo
Anticipate and understand customer’s current and future expectations, provide innovative solutions.
Actively and effectively communicate with all Power Systems team members.
Work Environment
The incumbent will be working in various outdoor locations and will be willing to travel and stay overnight at work locations.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Value safety over and above all other considerations
Perform all work safely and efficiently/always utilize correct PPE
Basic knot tying and safe rigging principles required to load material on trailers
Required Knowledge / Competencies:
Must have valid Drivers License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification. CDL Class A certification a plus
Must be able to pass a background check/MVR/drug screen for government security clearances
Must be competent in safely driving tuck with trailers
Must have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand and power tools
Job Related Certifications:
Certified in fork-lift and skid steer operations
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
Work in adverse weather conditions
Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license
Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing and MVR
