At WeldFit, the position of Cutting Systems Operator is responsible in utilizing hydraulic presses to bring parts back into conformity is responsible for the manufacture of extrusions and round-up pressing for extrusions, maintain, maintenance and equipment for productivity and safety by performing the duties and responsibilities below.  

Other Duties / Expectations:

• 
  Safety
  
  
  • Learn all safety precautions with regards to safe oppress operation including heating extrusions and rounding up various extruded products.
  
  
  • Work and think safety at all times.
  
  
  • Responds to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.

  Records
  
  
  
  • Records all inspections, tests and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers.
  
  
  • Records written recommendations on improvements to reduce setup time and run time.

  Tools/Installation
  
  
  
  • Must have basic hand tools.
  
  
  • Be proficient in measuring devices tape, level, and gauges.
  
  
  • Installs special functional and structural parts and equipment.

  Inspects
  
  
  
  • Inspects damage parts, determines nature of repair and uses repair tools to rework or refurbish worn or damaged parts.
  
  
  • Inspects, tests, and adjusts all systems, machinery and equipment on a regular basis.
  
  
  • Performs checks and balances on machines to assure the proper functioning.
