Job Description:

While in this role, you are expected to paint individual parts and complete vehicles along with repairing any heavy damage. You will perform body and paint preparation of vehicles and vehicle components as required in accordance with established standards and operating procedures. You will be expected to polish, buff, nib, sand, reassemble, and clean as necessary to complete repair of vehicle. You will be responsible for the proper entry and update of all service orders, parts, and technician comments into the VMS Service Order System. Responsibilities also include work area safety and cleanliness, proper care of all assigned tools and equipment, overall quality inspection on vehicles repaired, and proper storage, tagging and returning of all replaced parts. Lastly, you will complete any additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

This position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, hearing, reading, writing, and exposure to variations in temperature and high noise. This position also requires a working knowledge of the VMS Service Order System, the BMW Labor Operation & Defect Coding System, the BMW Parts Ordering System, the BMW Warranty System, the BMW Color System and the operation of special tools, paint mixing equipment and paint cleaning equipment.

Relocation is not available for this position.

This role requires full time attendance in the office.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Vocational/specialist training in automotive Body Repair

  • 3 years of experience in Automotive Paint and Body Repairs

The pay range for this role is: $49,900.00 - $60,000.00.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
