Nucor Steel-Berkeley is seeking qualified applicants for an Inside Sales Associate. The successful candidate will manage customer accounts and facilitate the acceptance and processing of customer claims for both quality and accounts receivable.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing responsive service and building strong customer relationships with an emphasis on commercial excellence.
Entering accurate orders, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication between customers and operations, shipping, credit, and metallurgy.
Coordinating efforts to resolve claims with customers, metallurgists, sales, and accounts receivable teams.
Working with field claim buyers to resell claimed material while maximizing profitability.
Managing inventory levels and working with the scheduler to ensure efficient production.
Serving as the main point of contact for customers and handling various aspects involved with customer accounts.
Assisting in all functions of customer service as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree (Business, Marketing, or related study)
Preferred Qualifications:
4- year degree in Business Administration or related field.
Familiarity with the manufacturing process, product characteristics and customer base
Knowledge of basic accounting
Comprehension of inventory control
