Nemours is seeking a RN-Ambulatory (Perinatal Program), FULL-TIME, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Panama City, Florida.
This position is responsible for the following:
Providing nursing care in one of the Ambulatory Care areas (i.e. hospital and satellite clinics).
Providing nursing care in partnership with the child and family that is individualized to meet the child or family's unique needs and situation.
Assessing, evaluating and developing nursing plan considering the patient and family's individual, cultural, ethnic and religious values and beliefs.
Delivering care based on family centered care principles in collaboration with other medical professionals.
Evaluating nursing care on an ongoing basis and revising the plan of care as appropriate.
Accountable and responsible for the coordination and management of a designated group of patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Utilizes the nursing process as a basis for providing and evaluating nursing care applying knowledge of growth and development, pathophysiology, spiritual and cultural needs and family dynamics in delivery of care.
Delivers care in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner that is sensitive to and values diversity.
Provides patient education for diagnostic procedures, medical conditions and treatment plans.
Oversees patient flow, providing clinical direction to other team members.
Participates in and supports bedside clinical research studies.
Evaluates child/family responses to the effectiveness of nursing/medical interventions and addresses/makes appropriate changes as needed.
Documents all aspects of nursing care delivery appropriately.
Maintains patient/family confidentiality and privacy.
Adheres to the Nemours Standards of Behavior.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred, MUST be obtained within three (3) years of hire.
Current Florida Nursing license in good standing.
Minimum of one-year experience required.
Two (2) years of OB/GYN experience preferred.
Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
