Ledgent is partnering with a client in the construction industry adding a Senior Accountant to their team due to an upcoming retirement. Ideally this would be an immediate TEMP start with the potential to be hired on full-time.
Compensation ranges from $80,000-$90,000 (D.O.E.) + bonus eligibility. Primarily on-site in the northwest metro with situational flexibility.
Duties:
Oversee and manage the preparation and review of monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Record cash receipts and distribute various cash reports.
Fixed Asset accounting and reporting for substantial construction equipment fleet and real estate holdings, including book values and tax basis, depreciation, and accounting for related loans and leases.
Maintain material inventory accounts.
Perform detailed balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of accounts.
Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements and reports.
Respond timely and accurately to information requests and questions from management and operations personnel.
Assist in preparing schedules and reports for ownership, operations management, and independent auditors.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and 5-7+ years experience or Associates Degree and 8-10+ years experience
Construction industry experience (strongly preferred)
