Supervises and assumes responsibility for the operations of the department or work area in the absence of the Manager and Director. Serves as a mentor and role model by demonstrating highest work ethic, exhibiting superior job knowledge, following policies and procedures and demonstrating concern for the Standards of Behavior.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Leadership/Training
Enforces written standards (i.e., policies, job descriptions, etc.) to comply with all state, federal and Joint Commission requirements.
Communicate needs and concerns with both subordinates and director in a timely and effective manner using appropriate tone of voice and language.
Accepts responsibility for identifying and implementing solutions; accepts role as department leader and models the Standards of Behavior.
Uses effective time management techniques to reach a high level of productivity.
Trains employees in proper skills, cleaning/sanitizing and work ethic to ensure the employee is successful.
Identifies and controls factors that affect food, labor and operating costs.
Recommends employee promotions, transfers and discipline. Accountable for disciplinary measures at the verbal level.
Assist with developing action plans leading to continued improvement.
Food Safety
Assures foods are prepared on time, in sufficient quantity, are of good quality and that sanitary techniques are used by following Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Principles.
Assures employees are trained and exhibit safe operation and cleaning of equipment and the cleaning all areas of the department.
Enforce and follow food safety policies and procedures as appropriate.
Follows procedures for storing, reporting repair needs and keeping equipment clean.

Completes all mandatory education requirements.
Adheres to and abides by the West Georgia Health System Standards of Behavior.
Complies with Annual Health Assessment requirements.
Adheres to the West Georgia Health System Attendance Policy
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:
High school diploma Required or equivalent. Required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
ServSafe Food Handler-Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years more years of experience. Required
Required Minimum Skills:
Serv-Safe Certified or willing to become certified; computer literate.
Ability to communicate in the English language.
Good public relations and customer service skills.
