Job Description:

Job Objective: Mainly CDL driving, also needs to be mechanically inclined. Position pays $24-$28 depending on experience. Reliability Services is looking for a Field Service Technician that has a CDL A with a Tanker and HazMat endorsement (or meets criteria to obtain within 90 days of hire) to support its operations. The successful candidate will support field service projects across various service offerings and participate in a continuous improvement culture to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost excellence to prove value generation for the customer.


Our company provides on the job training in high-velocity oil flushing and lubrication filtration processes, technical step progression opportunities, company uniforms, company phone, per diems, on-duty travel, boot allowance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location, site size, and operation.



  • Responsible for operation of a CLD-A vehicle and tanker transport, with the capabilities to meet HazMat requirements as listed above.

  • Performs diagnostic collection to include lubricant collection and other lubrication services operations

  • Conduct work safely by attending daily safety and production meetings and following site safety requirements including PPE, JHA/JSA, Lock Out/ Tag Out, Work Permitting, and Near Miss Unsafe Condition reporting

  • Responsible to submit completed paperwork promptly

  • Knowledge of process operations and flow transfer and flow processes

  • Operate oil transfer pumps and filtration equipment

  • Visual inspection and repair of oil distribution connections, pipes, hoses and equipment

  • Read, understand and record digital and analog gauge readout values

  • Route pipe and/or hose as directed by lead personnel

  • Clean and lubricate equipment and perform essential maintenance and repairs

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment on the job site

  • Able to discuss methodologies with internal and external stakeholders

  • Reviews procedures before job execution

  • Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement

  • Perform daily truck inspection prior to departure, report any problems to supervisor.

  • Perform post trip inspections.

  • Perform other necessary job-related duties or responsibilities


Additional Duties and Responsibilities for Clarus Technicians



  • Ability to adapt and understand new or improved task to perform service delivery as market conditions, customer, requirements or Company practices and procedures change.


Certificates and Licensing Requirements



  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a Tanker and HazMat endorsements is required (meets criteria to obtain within 90 days of hire.)

  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Card

  • Verifiable clean driving record. Both must be kept current.

    • Both commercial and noncommercial drivers records




Knowledge Skills & Abilities Requirements



  • Scheduling flexibility and ability to travel up to 35% (Domestic) and work in the field away from home

  • six months - 1-year experience working with pumps, valves, or as a field technician preferred

  • Associates may be required to drive company vehicles as part of their duties. A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is mandatory to ensure the safe operation of company vehicles.

  • Basic mechanical skills will be needed and used in the logistics of loading / unloading and maintenance

  • Safely and efficiently operate truck and trailer

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Products

  • Basic mechanical ability - use of hand tools, safety equipment, and company equipment

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Physically submit to periodic drug screens including hair follicle tests, background, and clearance screenings

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred

  • Walking: move about inside the office and/or branch facilities as well as airport/travel needs

  • This position will require physically demanding work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions, including extremes.

  • Required to work around moving mechanical parts, in high and precarious places, around fumes or airborne particles, and with potentially flammable chemicals.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high level.

  • Truck operation will be loud and there will be moderate vibration associated with extended driving conditions.

  • As an Over-The-Road driver, this driver will be expected to stay overnight for up to 5 nights.
