We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure smooth workflow across production areas in ASC's Flexhead Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising teams, managing production schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to optimize productivity while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring production schedules are met.

• Coordinate and oversee setup and operation of equipment, ensuring optimal efficiency and minimal downtime.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide the production process.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment, production processes, and workflow.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality control, and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and optimize production methods.

• Supervise the implementation of modern technologies to enhance precision and efficiency.

• Conduct employee training on safety, equipment operation, and process enhancements.

• Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, conducting routine checks and arranging for repairs as necessary.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, enforcing safety and housekeeping protocols.

• Monitor production activities to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Identify and mitigate any potential safety hazards within the production area.

• Use material handling equipment such as cranes, dollies, and carts to move materials and products as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management

• Directly supervises: 9 employees in the Flexhead Department

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory experience.

• Strong technical knowledge related to production equipment, processes, and quality control.

• Proven leadership abilities, with experience training and managing a team.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for production and equipment issues.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with forklifts and hoists for material handling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with lean manufacturing practices.

• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.

• Familiarity with modern manufacturing software or systems.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

• Required to bend, reach, and use hands/fingers to handle objects or tools.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, and depth perception, are required.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels in a production environment.

• Employees must adhere to safety standards and use provided personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Vigilance regarding safety hazards such as sharp objects, chemicals, and electrical equipment is required.
