Scheduling Office of the Fuels and Lubricants Research Division.
Objectives of this Role:
Provide close contact with Division 08 commercial clients on testing priorities and test availability.
Monitor and initiate client test requests while properly dealing with external registration organizations.
Work closely with other personnel (as a Team) to complete daily and routine tasks.
Be willing and able to work overtime as required; work in a high-output team environment with daily deadlines.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Works closely with commercial clients to provide testing availability, testing forecasting, testing status.
Monitor tests in progress and complete daily test status.
Schedules standardized or customized tests and ensures compliance with test parameters, specifications, and deadlines.
Work with test registration organizations to properly register tests.
Processes receipt of test oils other test materials working with shipping and receiving and oil inventory personnel.
Work closely with internal SwRI project leaders and laboratory staff to properly schedule testing.
Performs computation and data generation used for final test reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree from an accredited university is strongly preferred.
2 years: Laboratory experience with desire to learn laboratory environment.
2 years: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is highly desirable. Ability to learn and work daily with SwRI-developed software.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Must be able to courteously deal with public and clients. Must be able to work in a team.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
