Security Officer - Part Time

St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Patrols, inspections and investigations require frequent indoor and outdoor routines in all types of weather conditions; foot, vehicle and stationary patrols required; possible exposure to hazardous materials, severe weather conditions and physical confrontations with unstable persons and individuals who are violating laws and regulations.


Relations to other positions:
Works closely with other security officers, student workers, shuttle drivers, resident directors and advisors, maintenance personnel, university administrators, local law enforcement agencies and emergency services.

Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.


Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred but not required.


Must currently possess NYS Security Guard License.

Must have a valid driver's license with no significant convictions.

Assist with supervising student workers/shuttle drivers on shift.

All campus owned and controlled properties.
