Interns will have the opportunity to participate in the annual three-day summer intern event in Des Moines, Iowa where they will have the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art facilities, network with leadership, and gain a broader understanding of MidAmerican Energy Company. Other panels, lunch and learns, and events will be happening throughout the summer to give our interns the best experience
Responsibilities: Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties relating to renewable generation development
Construction and operations including reading and interpreting documents and drawings
Support organization and review of project documentation
Data mining to support fault analysis
Document operating history
Communicating findings and documenting such findings
Building project reports and support project due diligence
Support community outreach and mailings
Complete financial and schedule analysis and tracking & administrative tasks
Additional duties as assigned under the direction of manager

Qualifications: Skills for Success
Prior energy industry experience helpful but not required.
Software skills needed to be used in extracting information from various sources, conducting analysis, building reports and assisting workforce to achieve goals.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is helpful but not required.
Effective project management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
Qualifications
Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in engineering.
Must be able to work fulltime May-August 2025.
Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. Some travel may be required.
