The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for aRecreation Manager to join the leadership team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms ( to include cottages and villas ), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

What Will I Be Doing?

As our Recreation Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Recreation with the coordination and delivery of daily guest services, pool & beach rentals, kids and teen programs, and ice-skating operations in a hands-on leadership role in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

 Oversee the Recreation department team while assisting outlets with daily tasks to ensure smooth operations
 Execute special projects with an eye to fulfill long-term goals
 Responsible for providing up-to-date recreation information to all pertinent outlets
 Assist outlets with daily tasks to ensure smooth operations
 Assist with creating and sharing informational reports with team members
 Communicate with clients and guests to prepare group reservations
 Print reports and conduct daily meetings to keep team members informed
 Facilitate and coordinate Recreation group events on site
 Responsible for forecasting, scheduling, and labor reports
 Continuously monitor attendant's performance and offer coaching and assistance as needed.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate:The annual salary range for this role is $70,000-75,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
