Description
SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. (SBG), a DSS, Inc. company, offers Systems Engineering, Enterprise Modernization, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and IT Governance innovation to Federal and commercial clients nationwide. We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate for the position is an experienced individual who are hard working with the ability to excel in a challenging, fast-paced government contractor environment. The position location is remote.
Overview
The Solutions Architect will support Capture Manager in the assessment of our customer’s business challenges, identify potential technology solutions and work with Capture Manager to identify potential partners, and be the driving force to develop, write, refine, and communicate these solutions to the Capture and Proposal team for a winning submission. The location for this position is hybrid. Two days a week in office as assigned by VP Growth.
Essential Duties:
Develop technical, operational, and staffing solution approaches, including LOE and ROM requirements to meet customer requirements and challenges. Present technical solutions and concepts to Capture and Proposal Managers as well as internal executives and stakeholders.
Identify and advocate opportunities for technical and cost-saving innovation
Work with Capture Managers to identify or assess potential/vetted partners/subcontractors as needed.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and share this understanding with internal and external stakeholders
Attend events that support SBG Technical and Innovation goals and give presentations to Growth Team
Lead solution development sessions with capture and proposal teams. Work with the proposal team and Capture Manager to determine author assignments and integrate win strategy, themes, and discriminators into proposal.
Support Proposal Team to reduce complex, integrated technical and operational solutions to easy-to-understand graphics for use in briefings and proposals
Translate and produce solutions into effective/winning business proposals. Evaluate and quickly identify issues, gaps and make recommendations that further SBG’s ability to provide a solution.
Use leadership qualities to harmoniously support the team spirit and drive the technical effort across the various teams and make recommendations on critical issues under pressure.
Work with Capture Managers during the BD/Capture process in developing Gate Reviews and supporting the Proposal Team (written and graphical) by assembling information to meet requirements for a quality bid proposal.

Qualifications
Skills:
Required:
Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in Federal Civilian and DoD IT related and Health IT focused federal agencies such as VA, VHA, DHA, MHS, IHS, CMS, and NIH and SBG Targeted Agencies.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Solutions Architect or IT Solutioning SME or similar role related to federal government systems
Well-versed in disciplines that contribute to systems engineering and possess strong skills in analysis, and solution synthesis.
Ability to apply heuristic and inductive reasoning as well as the deductive reasoning of other engineering disciplines.
Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with limited direction
Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet team/proposal deadlines
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar degree with application development focus preferred.
Years of experience in a similar role:
Required: Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in Federal IT and/or health-focused federal agencies such as VHA, DHA, MHS, IHS, CMS, and NIH

Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.
