Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven Environmental Civil Engineer – Designer – Engineer in Training to join our Water/Wastewater Department in Mount Pleasant (Charleston), SC.
Candidate should be able to prepare engineering drawings in Civil 3D, technical specifications, cost estimates, permitting documents and WaterCAD modeling. Proficiency in water and sewer utility, drainage, and erosion control design required. Experience in design & permitting water and sewer related projects and client/contractor relationship experience is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:Experience:3+ Years of strong AutoCAD based design skills. Experience in the design of municipal water and sewer systems is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. EIT Certification or ability to become EIT certified within 6 months required.
Skills:
AutoCAD, WaterCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
The ability to work a regular schedule of 730AM - 530PM Mon-Thurs and 730AM - 1130AM Fri. This position is fully on-site. It is not a remote or hybrid position.
Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
Highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player
Ability to solve problems
Excellent time management skills
