As the Machine Shop Planner-Inspector, you will need to show fundamental knowledge of the Machine Shop. Additionally, you will need to participate in an Internal training program aimed at enhancing both foundational skills and advanced abilities in Quality Assurance part inspection and Production Planning. Your weekly responsibilities will be split between these two areas: Production Planning Supporting our current Senior Production Planner by becoming proficient in the following tasks: • Create and monitor work orders. • Close out work orders and deliver them to the Tool Crib. • Coordinate, interface, and track outside post-processing to ensure it is completed accurately and on time. • Act as the department liaison for daily interactions with key internal departments such as Shipping, Receiving, Tool Crib, and Engineering. Quality Inspection Acquiring the Quality Inspection skill involves conducting precision inspections of machined parts with calibrated inspection tools to ensure they meet Engineering drawing specifications, thereby supporting BD production line's stringent requirements.

Job Summary:
Responsible for planning all production requirements to meet customer orders including determining staffing needs, scheduling of work in process, and inventory control of raw materials and finished goods. Ensures quality standards are met and reports any deviations to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops annual operating plan which includes forecasting sales, production capacity, labor requirements and capital expenditures.
Provides monthly operation plans and schedules to production and support areas; communicates changes as needed.
Coordinates production schedules with Master Scheduler and Purchasing.
Ensures availability of required material, supplies and equipment necessary to produce product lines assigned.
Reviews and evaluates current procedures and methods used in production operations; recommends changes where appropriate.
Assists with implementing new products or processes by coordinating the activities of all departments concerned with the introduction of new items.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, contractors and regulatory agencies.
Interacts extensively with Production Supervisors and Managers to ensure efficient use of personnel and equipment in meeting production schedules.
Communicates regularly with Quality Control regarding quality problems, customer complaints and non-conformances.
Monitors key manufacturing performance indicators such as OEE, WIP, cycle times, downtime, scrap rates and other relevant data to determine root cause of problems and implement corrective action plans as appropriate.
Works closely with Engineering on continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes and Internet usage required.
Knowledge of FDA regulations pertaining to medical devices preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
Ability to establish priorities among assignments.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams required.
Problem solving skills required.
Strong analytical skills required.
Ability to make presentations required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field preferred.
