The Senior Electrician will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex electrical maintenance and repair tasks within a manufacturing facility. This role will involve troubleshooting electrical systems, performing installations, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, and wiring.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex electrical malfunctions, identifying and resolving root causes.
Installation: Install new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to electrical codes and standards.
Project Management: Lead and manage electrical projects, coordinating with other team members and ensuring timely completion.
Mentorship: Mentor and train junior electricians, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Safety: Prioritize safety by following electrical safety protocols and using appropriate safety equipment.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes and regulations, including NEC and OSHA.
Qualifications:
Journeyman or Preferably Master's Electrician's License
Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift heavy equipment.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
Exposure to noise, vibration, and hazardous materials.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing facility environment.
Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperature extremes.
