Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role can be filled by either a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or a Registered Nurse (RN), depending on qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, a compassionate approach to patient interactions, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments as necessary.
Perform assessments, including respiratory rate, lung sounds, and oxygen saturation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Qualifications:
Valid LVN or RN license in the state of California.
Experience in respiratory care preferred but not required.
Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
