The City of Lincoln City Police Department is currently accepting applications for Lateral Police Officers. Lateral recruits must provide proof of current certification. Please see full details of application and the position requirements below.
HIRING INCENTIVES:
Hiring Bonus of $20,000--$10,000 paid at hire date, $10,000 paid upon completion of probationary period (usually 12 months).Paid Time Off Available for Immediate Use--Forty (40) hours of admin time and Forty (40) hours of sick front-loaded.Relocation Allowance--Up to $6,000 moving compensation based on relocation distance.

Lateral Officer Application Process:
Police Officer Lateral Transfers--Must meet all entry-level requirements and must have at least completed the Oregon DPSST Academy, or another states equivalent of the Oregon Academy, and have successfully completed a probationary period of full-time paid service as a sworn police officer in a civilian governmental jurisdiction immediately prior to application. NTN testing is not required for lateral recruits.
Lateral transfers must provide a DPSST number or a copy of an F4 showing completion of the Oregon DPSST Academy, or another states equivalent of the Oregon Academy, and have successfully completed a probationary period of full-time paid service as a sworn police officer in a civilian governmental jurisdiction immediately prior to application.
