The SUD Clinical Supervisor is a principal in the management team, providing daily clinical supervision and oversight to all counseling staff in Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tuolumne fee for service programs. Under general direction and with great latitude for independent judgment and initiative, is able to independently perform most complex clinical and case management assignments.
How will I contribute
Assure the program compliance with Kings Views policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with CLAS standards. Provide program development. Develop a schedule that allows you to be in each County on a regular basis to assure all programs are being managed in a consistent manner and all services are being provided. Regularly schedule individual meetings and group staff meetings for all counseling staff. Coordinate the volunteer and Intern Program. Co-facilitate services on a regular basis and provide feedback to counselors to assess skills and knowledge. Provide back-up counseling services as requested. Coach and Develop counselors in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures. Conduct written evaluations for each counselor that outlines their performance and provides recommendations on improvement on a yearly basis. Be actively involved in all counseling staffs employment issues, to assure proper and legal outcome. Maintain clear documentation on all staff involved in progressive disciplinary action. Recommend personnel action that may include employment actions such as termination. Be involved in all interviews for new counseling staff and other positions, as requested. Provide staff with updated policies and procedures and assure they acknowledge any changes. Recommend new policies and procedures and assist in the development and implementation as needed. Develop and help provide a minimum of 6 hours of staff training to all counselors on a yearly basis. Work closely with other managers to ensure that consistency and quality is maintained in all areas within Kings View. Approve client dismissals/suspensions, reinstatements, completions etc. in accordance with Title IX and Program policies and procedures. Complete written responses to client complaints within 5 business days. Complete first and second level financial reviews. Complete quality assurance reviews (random chart reviews) in each County on a monthly basis, assuring that all staff are following procedures and providing appropriate treatment. Participate in the review of collection rates, intakes, reinstatements and completions in each County. Help investigate any variances. Participate in State and County reviews. Provide input into the written response as needed. Recommend and help develop new fee for service programs that are appropriate. Review and recommend expansion, locations, etc. of existing program. Assist Lead-Support staff in training new support staff on technical information. Recommend staffing patterns in each County. Submit a written update on each County on a monthly basis. This report will assist the Executive Director in reporting information to the Corporate Board of Directors. Establish and maintain prudent business practices to ensure the continuation of Kings Views long-standing excellent reputation of quality services.
What I bring
High School Diploma (or Equivalent) Two years directly related experience. Class C Driving License Knowledge of current laws/regulations/guidelines related to SUD services. Knowledge in leadership and supervision models. Knowledge in current clinical practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Typing and/or 10-key. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to organize work in an appropriate sequential order. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to train, mentor, and supervise staff. Strong work ethic and practice of One team leadership style as well as an ability to drive healthy staff accountability to each other and with their respective job duties. Associates degree with training in clinical area, or possess a valid California license as a LVN, LPT, RN or Substance Abuse Certification. Preferred
