The (Department of Transportation) DOT Class-A CDL Driver is responsible for the safe handling, accurate and timely overnight transport, and delivery of merchandise between Distribution Centers, Company and independent stores, and customers. Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); > 6 months related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Class A CDL issued by the appropriate state; HazMat Endorsement or ability to quickly obtain HazMat Endorsement is required.
