Job Description:

Nemours is seeking an Accountant (Cash) (FULL-TIME) to join our Nemours Home Office in Jacksonville, Florida.

This is a hybrid position.

This position, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, is responsible for reconciling various high volume cash accounts monthly and performing related functions in Oracle Cash Management. Accountant, on a daily basis, will monitor automated import of bank files for completeness. Bank and subsystem transactions are reconciled daily in cash management and follow-up with internal stakeholders regarding any variances. Also, complete other account reconciliations, financial statement review, and journal entries as assigned.


  • Compare automated BAI files imported to bank activity reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Using Oracle Cash Management, perform daily reconciliation of individual bank transactions with related subledger entries. Work with internal counterparts or bank to research and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Recommend new rules to be set up for recurring transactions in Cash Management to improve automation.
  • Prepare cash account reconciliations monthly (Operating, Accounts Payable, Payroll for multiple companies). Identify variances and troubleshoot to determine and implement action plan for resolution. Include documentation for related balances.
  • Prepare assigned and ad hoc journal entries with appropriate supporting detail.
  • Document cash management procedures.
  • Prepare Income Statement Variance Analysis files for all lines of business monthly.
  • Prepare cash categorization for Nemours and NCH - Primary Care - Florida monthly.
  • Upon request, assist in providing documentation for requests by External Auditors.
  • Assist or lead in process improvement efforts including the identification of non-value added processes within the department and seek solutions.
  • Assist Accounting Managers, Supervising Accountants, and Director of Accounting with any projects as needed.
  • Assist all areas of Florida Business Operations on an as needed basis.
  • Function as back up for Accounting Clerk and other Staff Accountants in case of absence.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in accounting.

3-5 years of experience
