Manufacturing Manager Position Summary
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for providing operational leadership to ensure business objectives are achieved through operational excellence and a culture of teamwork and accountability. Areas of responsibility may include production, assembly, secondary operations, customer service, scheduling, maintenance and shipping/receiving.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Manager Responsibilities:
Hire, develop and mentor an organization of high performing talent
Ensure plant operates effectively to meet/exceed customer and regulatory requirements
Work with plant leadership to coordinate scheduling and resources to meet delivery expectations
Maintain an environment and culture that optimizes safety and preserves the well-being of all employees
Lead the operational excellence initiatives and achieve target performance levels in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Provide high level project management support in the areas of capital equipment, acquisitions, system improvements, etc.
Interact with key customers and suppliers to build and maintain business relationships
Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs
Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
Participate in required company meetings
Maintain an organized work area (5S)
Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Complete all other work duties as assigned
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Manufacturing Manager Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of experience in a similar role
5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Medical and clean-room experience
Manufacturing concepts and principles, lean manufacturing
Process management/statistical process control
Production layout/design/method
Manufacturing equipment management
Business and office system software
Capacity planning, scheduling, MRP
Budget management
Manufacturing Manager Preferred Requirements
Experience with 24/7 operations
Supervisory experience
Physical & Environmental Demands
Cretex Medical uses cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
