Job Summary
The Civil Drafter is responsible for preparing accurate submittal and production drawings using in-house drafting software such as PMS-TITAN-3000 or similar. This role involves close collaboration with the project management team to facilitate drawing submissions, revisions, and final production drawings. The drafter will interpret project plans, technical documents, and regulatory guidelines to develop precise submittals for customer review, coordinating with various departments such as production, engineering, and transportation.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare shop drawings / submittal packets for projects initiated by the Estimating team.
Collaborate with Project Managers on scheduling, design changes, and value engineering options.
Input project information into drafting software (training provided).
Revise shop drawings based on customer feedback and plan updates.
Manage multiple projects of varying scope and specifications.
Ensure designs meet county and state precast product regulations.
Accuracy and timely delivery of shop drawings.
Quality of drawings in relation to project and technical specifications.
Job Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret civil project plans, schematics, and specifications.
3+ years of construction or bidding experience preferred.
Prior experience as a precast drafter preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to new software systems.
