An individual with a strong HR generalist experience who enjoys a collaborative team as well as individual project responsibility. This is a position for someone who enjoys variety in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is located in the Corporate office for the Americas handling responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits, wellness, and talent acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Benefits
Administers US and Canadian health and welfare benefits, coordinates companywide open enrollment meetings. Serves as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers. Audits, reconciles and processes benefit billings
Oversees the Wellness Committee and wellness events, including biometrics screening, health fair, lunch-n-learns and challenges
Manages leaves of absence (FMLA, state leaves, ADA), partnering with Lead HR Generalist on wage replacement. Handles EDD inquiries and premium payments
Administers the 401k plan, tracking open enrollments, loans and deferrals and upload on the biweekly 401k CCM file
Tracks eligibility dates on all benefits and notifies newly eligible employees in a timely fashion on health and welfare benefits as well as 401k plan. Distributes the appropriate compliance documents to eligible employees
Handles benefits inquiries from management, employees and brokers
Works closely with team member on benefit deductions, including 401k loan payments and premium payments during leaves of absence
Prepares the census data for the required 5500 filings on both the health and welfare benefits and the 401k plan
Accurately maintains Benefits Advisor and the company COBRA administration system.
Oversees Onboarding and Off Boarding Lifestyle Accounts as well as reconciling invoices and processing payment
Administrator of Navien's Rewards and Recognition platform
Talent Acquisition
Ensures job descriptions are accurate, complete and compliant with regulatory mandates
Coordinates local recruiting efforts including sourcing, tracking resumes, screening resumes, preliminary interviews and scheduling interview with appropriate manager
Prepares appropriate response letters and offers of employment via the ATS. Maintains strong communication with manager and applicants throughout the recruitment process and, informs the HR team and IT of accepted offers and hire dates
Prepare ATS analytical reports for management when requested
May conduct new hire orientation and assist with onboarding
Other
Partners with the Lead HR Generalist on merit and bonus planning
Assists HR co-workers on year-end Holiday Party, and other company events.
Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
Remains abreast of all pertinent federal, state and local employment and benefits laws.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and may attend other meetings and seminars
Maintains data and complies statistical reports concerning personnel data using the HRIS system
Acts as a backup for Sr HR Coordinator & Lead HR Generalist as needed
Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of multi-state HR background with a strong focus in benefits administration, health, wellness and 401k programs
Hands-on inhouse working knowledge of leaves of absence and ADA accommodations
Solid computer skills including advanced excel skills, along with demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
Prior oversight of 401K plan and practices
Experience with Canadian benefits a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to learn
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
Experience in a multi-state company with remote and field employees a plus
Bachelor's degree in human resources or business, and/or PHR certification a plus

Pay Scale: $34.00-$39.90/hour DOE and this position is eligible for Annual Bonus up to 15%!
