Nature & Purpose of Position:
The College of Education (COE) Deans Office is seeking student assistants to help with day-to-day tasks along with college-wide events.Primary responsibilities include:
Frequent interaction with vendors, students, faculty, staff, and college administration, related to event services.
Assistance with set-up of various events and attendance at these events (some weekend and evening will be required). Set-ups may require moving and lifting of tables and chairs (up to 50 pounds).
Tracking of COE event email and responding as necessary; upkeep of COE event calendar.
Responsible for answering multi-line phones, including transferring calls and direction of phone calls.
Contributes creative ideas and assistance in regarding to planning and completion of events/projects.
Copying, sorting, scanning, and assisting with various office projects.

The COE Deans Office is committed to flexibility based on students' schedules and offers multiple days off a year, including all student holidays, to ensure continued flexibility and a commitment to student success. Professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and willingness to learn are essential for this position, as this position is a representation of the College of Education.The COE offers a competitive pay structure that compensates student assistants based on longevity with the COE and performance. The pay for this position starts at $10/hr. On average, students work approximately 20 hours per week and may work up to 25 hours per week, depending on availability and budget.
