Job Description Summary

The Attending Physician will provide high quality patient care to a broad spectrum of diagnosis in the outpatients setting. The practice is approximately 50% neurologic and 50% musculoskeletal conditions with a full scope of available onsite services including physical, occupational and speech therapy. Incorporating spasticity management into the practice is also available.


The practice is located in Northbrook, a northern suburb of Chicago, with excellent potential for growth. It is one of many offsite care locations within the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab system of care. In addition to outpatient care clinical responsibilities include weekend call at one of our affiliated inpatient units. The Attending Physician will consistently demonstrate support of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab statement of Vision, Mission and Core Values by striving for excellence, contributing to the team efforts and showing respect and compassion for patients and their families, fellow employees, and all others with whom there is contact at or in the interest of the institute.



Job Description



As a member of the SRAlab Medica Staff the attending physician will have access to all financial and educational resources of the organization.

Reporting Relationships


  • Reports directly to the Program Medical Director or the Chief Medical Officer as appropriate




Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required


  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois.


  • Successful completion of a residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is Board certified or Board Eligible.


  • Faculty appointment at Northwestern University Medical School.


  • Excellent communications and interdisciplinary skills required, including proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, referring parties, SRAlab and other internal and external stakeholders.




Working Conditions


  • Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
