Primary Objective:


Supervises and coordinates all shift activities to maintain Outfeed / LTL / SID operations.



Major Function and Scope:

  • Ensures compliance with all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of all shift employees engaged in LTL/Receiving process; participates in employee performance reviews.
  • Follows up on daily volume needs.
  • Maintains daily record keeping of outfeed volume.
  • Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or issues.
  • Confers with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments.
  • Reads and analyzes reports for LTL/ SID volume to determine the daily tasks.
  • Uses information systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to maintain employee production, and prepares management with end of day report(s).
  • Must be able to operate PIT/ Lift truck on short notice.
  • Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Requisitions materials, supplies, or repair services.
  • Interprets specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Maintains certification for and serves as first responder.
  • Monitors or patrols work area and enforces safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management



Type of Experience and Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or GED required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential function of the job.
  • 1 - 3 years of team leading experience (Preferred)
  • Good math skills,
  • Excellent time management skills, adequately managing one's own time and the time of others within the department
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, and the ability to motivate, develop and direct subordinates
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
