Corporate Controller reports to and works closely with the CFO and key Company leaders to create budget statements and financial reports to ensure successful financial management. Ensure effective and compliant use of financial and accounting systems to assure proper recording of transactions and financial integrity of the Company. Accurately prepare various financial reports for internal and external distribution. Position will require occasional business travel throughout the United States to our Federal contract sites and our other Corporate offices.
In collaboration with the CFO develop and implement accounting/finance policies and procedures that result in process accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness and efficiency.
Provide oversight of accounting activities, including tax filing, monthly and year-end account reconciliations, censuses filing, accounting, quarter and year-end processing and third party reporting.
Lead the Company's accounting month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely account reconciliations, prepare/proof consolidated period closing reports and submission of required reports.
Develop internal controls to maintain strong accounting and asset integrity.
Provide to CFO on a monthly basis or as needed, managerial finance/accounting and ad hoc reports, such as required Federal reports and inquiries from outside interests, i.e., banks, government, auditors, etc.
Develop and maintain annual Company Operating Budgets, including required updates to reflect current business trends and needs.
Assist and provide analysis of current policies and procedures required to manage and control financial activities for both Corporate and Contract sites, including implementation of effective integrated computer accounting, payroll, purchasing and other required systems.
Responsible for direct management and oversight of the Company's integrated computerized accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics SL) activities; includes financial reports, using Solomon's Accounting System and third-party report writer, Bi360. Provide training to accounting staff on use of financial system modules and report writer. Prepare detailed, step by step desk guides for accounting staff reference.
Ensure effective coordination and integration of off-site Finance, Purchasing and Human Resource activities.
May perform support and back up functions for the CFO.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and minimum of 2 years of institutional accounting experience required. Analytically adept, computer literate with excellent spreadsheet proficiency to include pivot tables. Experience with computer based accounting, payroll and HR software programs preferred.
Preference will be given for candidates with any of the following qualifications or experience:
Master's Degree in Accounting or related discipline,
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA ) with active License or
