The Work-Based Learning Specialist is responsible for providing students with employability training that leads to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training. This role coordinates and manages the Work-Based Learning program, ensuring that students are actively participating in on- and off-Center job training assignments to enhance their employability skills. The specialist also provides transportation services and participates in the Career Transition Readiness/Grad-90 program, while maintaining integrity guidelines and ensuring accurate student data.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the Work-Based Learning program
Provide students with employability training and career counseling
Develop strong employer networks for student placement opportunities
Evaluate student performance and update individual career development plans
Ensure compliance with DOL/Company performance goals
Mentor and support students throughout their enrollment
Validate student attendance and site supervisor evaluations
Produce quality work and maintain productivity standards
Collaborate with staff from all departments to provide effective supervision
Communicate effectively with students and staff, both orally and in writing

Qualifications
Identifies and develops Center beneficial partnerships that lead to student benefit and success. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Associates Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred. A minimum of one year experience in program management and direction with a substantial experience working with youth.
