The Shipping and Receiving Specialist plays an important role on the Ensight Operations team. This role's primary purpose is to assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control and support operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance, determining most economical and efficient shipping method.
Prepares bills of lading. Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ensure accuracy.
Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
Issuing of completed parts to WIP Jobs or to stock.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and places the items in their appropriate project containers.
Traces lost shipments and initiates proof of delivery documents.
Participated in 5s initiatives to include assigning warehouse locations for parts, identifying parts that require engineering drawings and PNs, placing parts in assigned locations inside warehouse facility, cleaning and organizing the warehouse.
Participates in weekly cycle counts.
May maintain department responsibilities in ERP, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
Daily operation of dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
May be asked to perform other duties upon request.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
Experience using an ERP system, such as Syteline.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
At least 3-5 years of warehouse and inventory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
