Job Description:

Vertiv is seeking an enthusiastic and committed technology professional to join its Global Risk Oversight (GRO) function in the role of Practice Advisory Specialist. The primary responsibility of the position is to leverage the various technologies available to the practice to develop leading tools and techniques for GRO professionals. In addition, the successful candidate will, from time to time, perform IT audits at the direction of GRO management. The role resides in Columbus, OH and reports to the head of GRO.


The mission of the Global Risk Oversight function is to enhance and protect organizational value through business partnering that provides risk-based and objective assurance, as well as identifies continuous improvement opportunities to facilitate Vertiv's ability to meet financial and operational objectives.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with team members to identify process and practice improvement opportunities.
  • Design dashboards and other tools for real-time monitoring of performance indicators.
  • Assist in streamlining and automating practices through the development of advanced analytics.
  • Build relationships with GRO team members and internal clients throughout the organization.
  • Promote the use of automation and data visualization.
  • Support the continued optimization of the AuditBoard platforms



  • Assist with both the enterprise risk management and ESG programs.
  • Perform IT audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy and completeness of data, and compliance with policies.
  • Document audit findings with actionable recommendations that enhance governance and strengthen the control environment.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in audit, risk management, and data analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, data analytics, or a related field (Master's degree is desirable but not required).
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Understanding of auditing and risk management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT, NIST).
  • Experience conducting IT audits.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
