What You Will Do:

  • This position is responsible for the data entry, right-of-way documentation and administration activities as required by the approved procedures; adheres to project policies, guidelines, and procedures and is responsible to meet project timeliness and objectives.
  • This position will work in close cooperation with both title companies and land agents.
  • Maintain the right-of-way records filing system including document control, file index and content record- utilizing both digital and paper filing systems.
  • Perform data entry for records and activities utilizing Irth Land (formerly GeoAmps) software system.
  • Prepare various project communications / project easements and/or related documents and review all documents for correctness.
  • Run / Print reports from the database as required by the project management.
  • Researching public tax sites or other public sites to verify ownership.
  • Create documents and perform QA/QC prior to transmitting the project.
  • Prepare project mailings, and support any ongoing mailing support.
  • Assist right of way agents in drafting conveyance documents, obtaining mortgage releases, and setting up projects.
  • Research property ownership, set up parcel files, notarize documents, assist in project management tracking.

What You Will Bring:

  • Some college, or a minimum of one year- experience as a document specialist or related right of way, real estate, paralegal, or title position.
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally with various levels of both project team and client team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and various other common programs.
  • Ability to review and understand title documents.
  • Calculations - ability to complete and understand valuation calculations
  • Able to learn new computer programs quickly, as required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and document effectively, handle large volumes of work.
  • Effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Land Database Experience (Irth Land formerly GeoAmps, Flairdocs, etc.)
  • Knowledge, and experience in right of way work related to Transportation, Utility/Transmission Line, and Renewable Energy Projects.
  • Experience reviewing title work and legal descriptions.
  • Experience reviewing appraisals.
  • Knowledge of acquisition and relocation procedures under the Uniform Relocation Act
