Job Description
The Relationship Manager/Ag Lender will serve as a sales and business development representative of the Association and is a highly skilled negotiator that is committed to building lasting customer relationships. The Relationship Manager/Ag Lender has direct involvement in all aspects of agricultural lending with proficiency in risk assessment and loan structuring; maintains an understanding of applicable policies, procedures, and regulations and conforms as appropriate; has direct responsibility for maintaining acceptable credit administration and credit quality; and will build and service a loan portfolio which meets the growth objectives of the Association. The selected candidate will be evaluated, and if deemed necessary, complete a one-year training program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, agriculture, economics, finance, or a related field and/or experience equivalent to the degree
Exceptional prospecting and networking skills
Strong analysis, judgment and communication (oral and written) skills
Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions
Knowledge of agriculture, the market and competition
Preferred Qualifications
Farm or ranch background with related practical experience Farm Credit experience
