Join BD as a Production Material Handler! Transport, organize, supply, and sustain accurate inventory levels for components and materials supporting production execution activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate hand truck or forklift as required to provide materials to production area. Use hand truck to move materials within a production area. Perform forklift safety checks and complete safety checklist daily.
Observe all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
Complete Kanban Milk Runs as required to keep SLBCS, FGL & PBBCS PAH lines operating with necessary materials to maintain production as advised by production planning and department leadership.
Maintain production order integrity for all materials received, transferred and returned using SAP and Apriso.
Remove empty containers to trash area. Put trash in trash compactor and operate compactor. Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Requisition materials from warehouse as required using SAP and/or Apriso.
Check all materials delivered for accurate LPs, item, count and condition prior to acceptance. Store incoming materials neatly in Kanban by storage plan.
Perform partial confirmations and final confirmations for finished goods. Move finished goods pallets into pre-sterile area or finished goods' warehouse as appropriate.
Prepares pallets by strapping and installing corner posts.
Moves finished goods out of production area to rework area and to case pack area as required.
Verifies good and waste quantities for each pallet reworked and completes vital transaction prior to the transfer of pallets from the manufacturing department.
Aligns with applicable V specs, SPP's and departmental procedures.
Supports other operations within the department.
Performs cycle counts and physical inventories using Apriso and SAP.
Relieve for breaks as vital.
Make bar code labels using the Zebra Printer System.
Fill out component lot sheets.
Retrieve BIs from the BI Storage refrigerator in VMS at the beginning of each batch.
Count BIs and verify there are 26 BIs per bag and give to line stacker PAs.
Verify the accurate amount of BIs (26) was used on each batch.
When product goes on Hold or is scrapped, log product information to include batch #, PO #, Reason, Quantity and destination in Hold Book located on Material Handler's table.
Maintain current revision production form copies for each area.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs miscellaneous duties as required by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 6 months Warehouse Experience required
Able to work (3-2-2-3) 12 hour Night Shift (7pm - 7am) and Train on Day shift.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer Literacy required
Proficiency with SAP and Apriso desired
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. preferred
Willing & able to train and certify on a forklift
must have sit down forklift experience

False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
