Your Role:
The Operations Team Lead (Distribution) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and activities within the distribution center environment. Responsibilities involve leading a team of associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a high standard of productivity and safety.
Key Responsibilities includes:
Lead and supervise a team of distribution center associates
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively
Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Oversee daily operations on the distribution center floor, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet productivity goals
Ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety standards
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment processes
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues
Assist in managing inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities
Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure proper stock levels and minimize discrepancies
Track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and safety
Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary
Communicate effectively with management, peers, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues
Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods
Physical Attributes:
Lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods of time
Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years in a distribution center or warehouse environment
2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP or Oracle experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., WMS)
Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations
