Job Description



  • Demonstrate understanding of Quality System (ELN, EtQ. eLIMS, Pyramid etc.) and regulatory process

  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

  • Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility

  • Demonstrates, and promotes the company vision, policies and procedures

  • Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity

  • Meets all quality and productivity metrics

  • Ensure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization; identify, prevent, or correct any departures from the quality system

  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and solve Technical/compliance problems

  • Lead and write investigations independently

  • Monitor trends and identify/implement CAPA

  • Develop and implement operational improvements

  • Work on more complex projects and lead staff to successfully complete projects

  • Support and drive LEAN initiatives and operational improvements

  • Guide and mentor junior staff to successfully complete projects and grow technical knowledge

  • Assist in driving Quality System development, improvement and utilization o Work with software development group to develop user requirements and provide quality oversight

  • Supervise others in performing client's service requirements

  • Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements

  • Manage workflow, assign work and establish processes to meet TAT

  • Perform semi-annual and yearly performance reviews, including writing of PMD's

  • Confront and address problems, concerns, and performance issues • Coach and develop individual and team to maximize performance

  • Evaluate staffing needs and provide justifications for growth

  • Monitor and approve employees' time worked through time-entry system

  • Support and promote company policies and procedures

  • Continually evaluate systems and processes to help improve overall productivity and quality

  • Continuously expand Leadership skills; attend applicable leadership training based on identified needs

  • Perform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of department • Monitor and control spending

  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT

  • Conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth




Qualifications




Basic Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and at least 3 years of laboratory experience

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm . Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Portage, MI are encouraged to apply.
