Data Clerk - 1 st Shift

Location: Epharta, PA

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Data Clerk will play a key role in supporting the scheduling and continuous improvement functions by maintaining accurate data, generating reports, and assisting in process documentation. This position will primarily involve data entry, database management, and report preparation to support production schedules, operational efficiencies, and process improvement initiatives.

The Nuts and Bolts:

1. Data Entry and Management

• Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within scheduling, production, and continuous improvement databases.

• Organize and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Assist in updating schedules and work plans based on new data or changes in priorities.

2. Report Preparation and Analysis

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Scheduler and Continuous Improvement Engineer.

• Assist in analyzing data to identify trends and variances related to scheduling and process performance.

• Compile data for key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement metrics.

• Prepare and print work orders as required by Scheduler

3. Process Documentation Support

• Support the Continuous Improvement Engineer by documenting process flows, work instructions, and best practices.

• Maintain organized files for process improvement projects and relevant documents.

• Assist in preparing presentations, charts, and other documentation for process improvement meetings.

4. Coordination and Communication

• Work closely with the Scheduler to track production timelines and ensure data alignment with scheduling needs.

• Communicate with various departments to gather or clarify data related to scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to data accuracy and documentation.

5. Continuous Improvement Support

• Assist the Continuous Improvement Engineer in tracking and reporting project status and results.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss potential improvements and provide administrative support for continuous improvement projects.

• Suggest minor process improvements in data entry and data management tasks.

Required Credentials:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with various departments.

  • Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to production areas as needed.
  • Standard working hours, with some flexibility to meet project deadlines.

  • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
