Description: Our client is currently seeking a Global Trade Analyst!
This is a long term w2 contract to hire opportunity, requiring of onsite/hybrid work capability.
4 days in office per week / 1 day remote.
Position Overview:
As a Global Trade Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, optimizing our transportation network, and managing key partnerships. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will help drive our logistics efficiency and regulatory adherence.
*Preferred experience in Oracle / Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance with International Trade Regulations: Maintain compliance with customs requirements, import/export laws, and other relevant regulations.
Freight Rate Contract Management: Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to secure favorable rates and reliable service.
Customs Broker Management: Manage existing partnerships and identify opportunities for new broker partnerships in coordination with sales and operations teams.
Transportation Network Optimization: Oversee and improve transportation networks to enhance customer service and reduce logistics costs.
Documentation and Freight Forwarding: Ensure accurate processing of shipments, including documentation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery.
Ensure Freedom to Operate: Coordinate with Regulatory, EH&S, Plant Operations, Customer Service, and Planning teams to secure regulatory approvals, and define product labeling and identification requirements.
Distribution Network Optimization: Identify efficient transportation modes and carriers, negotiate contracts, and optimize routes, including the identification of relevant distribution centers.
KPI & Analytics: Define and report monthly KPIs to minimize compliance risks, optimize logistical spend, and drive overall team performance.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Excel, statistical applications, and logistics programs.
Working knowledge of MS Dynamics or equivalent ERP systems (Oracle).
Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
