Description: Large food manufacturer in the Anaheim area is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee 3rd shift operations. This person is responsible for overseeing and managing the sanitation team to ensure a clean and safe working environment. This role involves developing and implementing sanitation procedures, training and supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. Shift begins at 11pm.
Responsibilities
Team Management:
Hire, train, and supervise sanitation staff.
Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
Sanitation Procedures:
Develop and implement sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and local health codes.
Conduct regular facility inspections to identify sanitation needs and potential hazards.
Monitor the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure proper application and safety.
Inventory and Maintenance:
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures for sanitation operations.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular quality assurance audits to verify compliance with sanitation standards.
Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure product safety and quality.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in food sanitation or a related field.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to train and motivate staff.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects.
